Venue

University of Surrey

Monthly Meetings

Our monthly meetings are held at the University of Surrey.  With the exception of our Branch AGM in May, we meet in Lecture Theatre-E in Building 13. For the precise location of the venue, please refer to the campus map.

Attendees

All BCS Branch meetings are free and open to members and non-members. Meetings are CPD-rated and students are particularly welcome.

Presentations usually commence at 8.00pm and most conclude at around 9.30pm.

Parking

If you are travelling by car, parking is available on the campus. The nearest (and recommended) car park to the venue is the main car park (see campus map) which is free after 5.00pm. The main car park is vast - the main entrance to the car park is found at its western end along the perimeter road and is well signposted. When you enter the car park, head towards the north fence and follow the road approx 3/4 the length of the park. You should see the car park exit, and to the east, a footpath up the hill to the campus.

Visitors With Special Needs

There is limited parking adjacent to the teaching block, but unless you have special needs or are bringing heavy demonstration equipment, it is just as convenient (and recommended) to use the main car park.

Please contact the UniS Security Office (01483 682002) in advance for advice and to ensure that parking is available. Please ask for advice about how to access the parts of campus you need to visit, so that assistance can be provided in the best way. Additionally, please visit the UniS Disability Web Site where there is a Campus Access Map and a Handbook for Students with Disabilities.

Maps, Trains, Buses And Other Information

The University web site offers comprehensive information for visitors new to the campus.
