Annual General Meeting
The terms
of our constitution (laid down by BCS Headquarters) stipulate that
we must hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM).
This
gives the Branch Committee the opportunity to review and report
back to our members on the activities undertaken throughout the
year, in addition to presenting our financial accounts for the reporting
period.
Nominations
for Branch Officer positions must be received in writing to the
Secretary at least one month before our AGM.
Our
Branch AGM is held in May each year.
Being
the last meeting of the season, we often try to secure eminent speakers
to address members at the conclusion of the normal AGM business.
As such, sometimes an alternative meeting theatre is used to accommodate
the anticipated larger attendances that such speakers command.
This
year, our May presentation will take place in Lecture Theatre L.
