Upcoming Event!

As part of the new BCS strategy 'making IT good for society' we are addressing the problem of IT recruitment and capability. Recruitment within the IT industry is flawed - employers cannot find the right candidates to fill vacancies and yet employees cannot find jobs which suit their skills.

Did you know?

Staff turnover costs British businesses over £4.13bn each year.

IT is the sector with the highest staff turnover cost, at £1.9bn each year.

Recruitment and retention of talent with the right skills to support new business demands is a significant issue.

Join BCS president Jos Creese at the Guildford BCS Thinkshop and have your say on the IT recruitment issues. The opinions gathered from the Thinkshop will feed into larger events later in the year including a panel discussion involving campaign stakeholders which is scheduled for early December.
